Absolute Basophils

Basophils are one of the 5 main types of white blood cell. Although one of the smallest components of the total white blood cell population they remain important.

White blood cells associated with inflammation and hypersensitivities. May be elevated due to inflammation, allergies, haemolytic anaemia, hypothyroidism.
