The bodymapping clinic pioneers a scientific approach that comprehensively aligns exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, health, well-being, and recovery to provide a unique pathway to health. This concept embraces 5 key dimensions essential to maintaining our health and well-being.

Nourishment.

Whether we are recovering from illness, training for peak performance or just seeking to get the most out of our everyday lives, understanding the importance of nutrition in supporting and maintaining good health is the cornerstone of any plan for wellness.

bodymapping’s  blood markers test enables us to analyse and understand current levels of nutrition, and through identifying apparent deficiencies and imbalances, advise on ways to get the most out of your diet, and foster a positive and energising relationship with food.

Movement.

Physical movement is fundamental to human well-being. When movement is restricted through ill-health, injury, lifestyle inhibitions, or choices, the health of the whole person will always suffer. Whether you’re an extreme sports athlete, are recovering from an injury, or permanently physically impaired, aligning exercise and movement goals to your overall health and well-being are an essential part of any bodymapping programme.

Cognition.

Nutritionally our brains are very demanding, providing them with the right fuel is essential for healthy cognitive function. Deficiencies and poor diet may be reflected in the development of cognitive diseases such as dementia. Cognitive health is also strongly influenced by other factors, such as; mental exhaustion, stress, anxiety, and emotional trauma. bodymapping analysis allows us to identify possible imbalances and advise on the best ways to maintain and optimise cognitive health, not just on a nutritional basis, but also in terms of other lifestyle factors and choices that may affect your mental health.

Rest.

Never has it been more important that we learn the value of rest; what it is to be rested. Instead, we live fast-moving and stressful lives, taking on challenges that we are ill prepared to deal with, missing opportunities to stop; pay attention and notice where we are, and crucially ‘how we are.’ By elevating the need for rest as an integral part of living well bodymapping helps us to see opportunities to rest, recover, reflect and re-imagine, and refocus our energies for what’s coming next.

Sleep.

Sleep enables our bodies to recover physically and mentally from the demands of the day. Restorative sleep is crucial in recovery from injury or trauma and in maintaining optimal performance, whether in sports training or in terms of mental output. bodymapping includes assessment and analysis of sleep patterns and the nutrition and lifestyle choices we can make to ensure that we enjoy the transformative benefits of a full, healthy sleep.

Dr. Michael Bazlinton is a UK based Family Doctor (GP). He completed his GP training in 2006 and started the bodymapping clinic in 2017. The aim of the clinic is to provide a service for individuals who want to apply science and technology to better understand and manage their health.

The service is for those who would rather avoid medication and short term fixes, and instead prefer to look deeper into the root causes of ill health and pursue a proactive approach to their well-being. This approach is commonly called functional medicine.

According to The Institute of Functional Medicine: Functional medicine uses the patient’s story as a key tool for integrating diagnosis, signs and symptoms, and evidence of clinical imbalances into a comprehensive approach to improve both the patient’s environmental inputs and his or her physiological function.

The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professionals how to apply these principles in practice through an intensive 5-day training course called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice™. Dr. Michael Bazlinton attended and completed the AFMCP™ UK training in London in 2018.
